Harvey Mackay Says Barter Is The Smartest, Most Cost Effective Form Of Networking

Received a letter the other day from the well-known speaker and syndicated columnist, Harvey Mackay. He was welcoming me (and all others on his mailing list) to see his new website.
According to Mackey, “It’s packed with learning tools that will help you outsell, outmanage, outmotivate and outnegotiate your competition every day, and it’s free.”
For long-time readers of BarterNews you’ll recall Mackay was a cover story for Issue #41. He had just authored his latest book, Dig Your Well Before You’re Thirsty.
In the book Mackay reinforced his belief that “networking” is absolutely essential to one’s success.
Furthermore, Mackey noted, “Barter, as practiced today by corporations, is probably the smartest, most cost effective form of corporate networking there is.” (Mackey was a former member of the board of directors for Atwood Richards, a large corporate barter company in the 80’s and 90’s.)
“Though corporate barter can consist of bilateral trade, in the real world such transactions are rare. It’s unlikely to find two companies with simultaneous equal and opposite needs,” he wrote.
For more information on how Corporate Barter works, see right-hand column “Barter Categories” and scroll down to Corporate Barter.
