The New World of Economics Where Money Is NOT Scarce
January 2nd, 2008 · by Bob Meyer · No CommentsMonetary expert Bernard Lietaer has spoken twice at the International Reciprocal Trade Association and has impressed the commercial barter industry with his wisdom and enormous knowledge on international currencies. He continues his global travels, educating and spreading the message about the power of community currencies.
Recently he spoke in Japan and reported on that country’s progress in, exciting, cutting-edge community currency projects, i.e. Japan is exploring more than 40 different types of complimentary community currencies in a series of projects defined as Eco Money Projects. These projects use a variety of technologies from high-tech smart cards to low-tech paper notes.
