Active International, a corporate barter company, does nearly a billion and a half dollars a year in business, truly they are a global juggernaut. Co-founded by Alan Elkin and Arthur Wagner, both members of the International Reciprocal Trade Association’s Hall-of-Fame, the company continues to impress with ever-widening business expansion and locations around the globe.

Company headquarters are in Pearl River, N.Y., 30 miles northeast of New York City. In March 2001 I visited their impressive operations, located on four floors, 112,000 sq. feet, in the Blue Hill Office Complex.
