Barterers Understand The Three Keys To Success
January 25th, 2008 · by Bob Meyer · No CommentsTo get the most out of your barter (trading) efforts you will want to focus your bartering priorities in these specific areas.
Successful traders within a trade exchange (barter company) exhibit some of the same characteristics:
1. They’re excited about purchasing at a wholesale barter cost, so they exhibit a very positive attitude about barter.
2. They understand that communications with their trade broker is of utmost importance, and weekly communicating is a must. It’s a part of their business agenda.
3. They’re also very aware that patience is necessary in the barter world. Because not every business barters (not yet anyway!) sometimes a product or service isn’t readily available.
Good traders are thankful for the wide array of availabilities, and actively trade for what’s obtainable by focusing and spending their trade dollars in the following manner:
Priority One: Products and services to increase business—advertising, radio, TV, newspapers, handbills, etc.
Priority Two: Business expenses—supplies, signs, furniture, business machines, maintenance, etc.
Priority Three: Investments—art, collectibles, real estate, buying equities or deeded properties and selling them for cash through exchange realtors whose commission is in trade.
Priority Four: Personal items—insurance, doctors, dentists, clothing, home improvements, etc.
Priority Five: Luxury items—travel, jewelry, stereos, etc.
