Retire? Forget It! What About You?
February 2nd, 2008 · by Bob Meyer · No CommentsThe latest Wells Fargo/Gallup Small Business survey show that nearly 90 percent of small business owners do not plan on a traditional retirement…up 9 percent from the previous survey taken in 2005.
Why no retirement? Reasons Vary…
1. Forty-three percent don’t feel they will have enough money to retire.
2. Forty-seven percent worry that they won’t have enough money to pay the medical bills if they had a serious illness or accident.
3. And forty percent say they will stop working only when forced to do so for health reasons.
4. Some sixty percent of those who plan to cut back on work, or stop completely, said they will do so at an older age than first planned.
