Have come across several barter sites I’d like to share with you…

1. Swango… “Swapping as easy as shopping.” This is an onlne clothes bartering site, i.e. where clothing is the currency. One uploads their clothes and assigns a “credit” value to them. When someone buys one of your items their “credits” are transferred to you.

Swango is an associate with a charity that provides apparel to those in need. The charity, Dignity U Wear has clothed over 260,000 children and families in need. A 99 cent cash transaction fee is charged per item and a percentage goes to the charity. For more information on Swango see: Swango

2. Paperbackswap: Trade any book–1.5 million available. Site offers postage & delivery confirmation, a wish list and lively discussion forum. More information: Paperbackswap

3. Barterbee: This site you can trade for music, movies and games. Hundreds of titles listed.

4. Goozex: Choose from 20,000 XBox, Playstation and Wii games at $1 per trade. Free to join, but to request an item you need to spend points and pay your $1. More information: Goozex
