Referrals Expand Barter Industry’s Network
February 20th, 2008 · by Bob Meyer · No CommentsLast week the owner of a radio station in Grand Rapids (MI) contacted me about his intent to do a five-figure trade that would include drive time opportunities. He was upfront, “I realize that you are not running a trade exchange, however I needed to start somewhere… so I thought I’d give you a call.”
In turn, I contacted the nearest trade exchange to him that offers their members a copy of The Competitive Edge newsletter because, I believe trade exchanges that provide this value-added service to their membership are making a difference. From my perspective knowledge is power when put to use.
This morning I heard back from my referral. He happily informed me that another radio station will be coming into the ever-widening barter marketplace. As the goods and services available on trade expands, the barter industry’s network becomes more valuable. And everyone benefits.
To stay abreast of the commercial barter industry refer to tbe BarterNews site regularly, postings of articles occurr weekly. BarterNews
