We also talked with the irrepressible Mike Ames, founder of TradeAmericanCard in Orange County (CA)…one of the largest and oldest independent barter companies in the country. We learned from Ames how he built his barter company one client at a time.

Leo Welt, President of Welt International, explained in a succinct 3-page article “The Growing Importance Of Countertrade In International Commerce.” And Sue Groenwald’s Chicago Barter Corp. introduced a new and revolutionary fundraising concept, “The Boy Scout Barter Program.”
We also looked at the National Association For The Exchange Of Industrial Resources (NAEIR), relating how they receive $40 million of merchandise annually from Corporate America.
Paul Durand, our gemstone expert, provided his fourth article on the gemstone industry. This one is titled “Which Gemstones For Bartering?” And James Stout wrote about paying employee benefits through barter.
