What Matters Most To Small Business Owners?

March 26th, 2008 · by Bob Meyer · No Comments

Despite the growth of the Internet, going online is not among the highest priorities of small businesses. Their chief priority is growing sales.

One of the fastest way possible to “grow sales” is by going through your trade exchange’s directory and making a few phone calls. You can approach members in your area, something like this:

“Hi, I’m (your name) with (name of your company). I’m a new member with (your exchange) and I’m calling to introduce myself. I’m located not far from you, and wanted to let you know I’d like to work with you on a trade basis.”

You will be pleasantly surprised by the warm reception. Why? Because the entrepreneurs you are calling, like yourself, are small business owners and are aware (like you) of the need to use barter, whenever possible, to optimize your company’s profits.

Almost 20 million of the approximately 25 million companies in the U.S. have fewer than five employees, according to the Small Business Administration.

Can you get excited about gaining new sales through the barter marketplace?
