The Most Powerful Force In The Universe
March 30th, 2008 · by Bob Meyer · 1 CommentPeriodically, we look at the power of compound interest— “the most powerful force in the universe,” according to a cocktail quip once made by Albert Einstein.
Maybe he wasn’t joking…because if you’ve put a few dollars away every month for a newborn, and that child’s now nine-years-old, its grown to about $4,000. Money able to earn an average stock market return of 10% annually will grow dramatically…
• In nine years, at age 18, the amount will have almost quadrupled to $15,000.
• If the money is left alone until that child is 40 it will have burgeoned into $330,000!
So a wonderful legacy to your children is possible when you simply increase your monthly cash-flow a little by bartering through your trade exchange. You can then harness the power of compound interest by making investments in one or more of the fine mutual funds now available.
Use “The Power” To Build A Secure Retirement
Nearly half of all Americans (46%) have less than $10,000 saved for their retirement, according to “Miles To Go: A Status Report on Americans’ Plans for Retirement.”
In fact, four in ten Baby Boomers (those between the ages of 44 and 61) say they have saved less than $10,000. And 39% of Americans are anxious about their ability to achieve their desired retirement lifestyle.
To ease any anxiousness, now is the time to increase your cash-flow and make those diversified investments on a regular basis.

I do not disagree that the magic of compound interest is a major force for progress. However,I am under the impression that LEVERAGE is even more so . And I am using and working on that “theory”. Why,you ask ? Because you can go from literally zero as far as cash is concrened, to well over 5 or 6 figures , as I have done previously in my real estate endeavors. It just may “pay” you to think about it. Jack Rogers
