(BarterNews #26) Unlimited Wealth, by Paul Zane Pilzer

April 9th, 2008 · by Bob Meyer · No Comments

This issue had Douglas Dagenais, VP of Chicago Barter Corp., explaining how to use a reverse trade/barter instead of discounting prices, which often occurs when a trade exchange is trying to secure a new account.

Ron Feldman, a specialist in negotiating discounted hotel rooms, shared his secrets with us in the article, “Buying And Selling Hotel Accommodations Through Barter.”

We also looked at 1031 tax deferred exchanges. And Canadian John O. Madsen shared his thoughts in the piece titled “Creative Barter—the Key To Real Estate Exchanging.”

In our Corporate Barter Section we had several articles on various topics about IRTA’s Corporate Trade Council. Jeff Wherry, the executive director of the Investment Recovery Association, disclosed the “Best Kept Secret In Pursuit Of The King (ROI).”

Our cover story was about a very dynamic and exciting thinker—economist Paul Zane Pilzer. He’s the best-selling author of Unlimited Wealth, and our 9-page interview illustrates how important our technological advances are to economic growth.

Also in this fact-filled issue was a list of five steps needed by corporate barter companies to effectively work with Fortune 500 corporations.

That was followed by the American Association of Advertising Agencies’ piece on “Media Barter—A Growing Phenomenon.” And we took a look at a little known area of real estate, “Brokering Sublease Barter Transactions.”

In the countertrade section we covered Pili Verzariu’s “The U.S. Government & Countertrade,” and John Holmes, president of the Australian Countertrade Association, offered “The Future For Countertrade In The Asia/Pacific Area.”
