The Captivating Trade Limited Story–An Australia Barter Company
April 10th, 2008 · by Bob Meyer · No CommentsIssue #45 of BarterNews, published in 1998, had a fascinating cover story devoted to the merging of two of Australia’s independent trade exchanges. The owners, experienced despite their youth, were eager to establish Australia’s largest independent-owned exchange, called Trade Limited. It’s a spellbinding story and a great read!
I flew down to Australia and spent a week with the companies as they held their historic joint meeting of all employees–together for a week of business and social functions. The four principals were a most interesting group: David Johnstone, age 35; John Saunig, 40; John Attridge 40; and Mark Pryke 34.
